Bugs, bugs and more bugs!
Some people have been curious about Gabe's bug collection and I have finally gotten around to taking a picture of it.
We need to get it a little more organized and get names under everything. A project for one of these days. Several we have gotten from the zoo through their trading program, some we have found around the house/yard, and others have been sent to us from Aunt Abby in Arizona. We are checking out books from the library and looking up things on the internet and learning as we go.
In the lower left corner of the top picture, you can see a yellow jacket and a small nest. That came from off our front porch a few days ago.
An exterminator came and got it down for us. I don't mind dead bugs, but I don't care for the live ones! If you find anything fun/unique and want to send it to us, it would be appreciated!

Forgot a few from KY
May trip to KY
While we were in Kentucky, we visited Paducah and I got to meet one of my dad's relatives. We called her Aunt Dorothy. We went to church with her and she showed us around.
This is my dad and Dorothy at the place where the Tenn. and Ohio rivers meet
Anther main reason we went was because my brother Chris was in an art show there.
This was about a week before my parents 50th anniversary, so we had a little celebration
Some of the cousins in a "family portrait".
The kids playing soccer in the front yard.

Gabe's birthday party in Kentucky
Despite disease and tornado's, we were finally able to have Gabe's birthday party in KY. Gabe loves spending time with his cousins and of course a great time was had by all. Thanks to everyone who had anything to do with it! I had wonderful intentions of getting thank you cards out for his birthday gifts, but a million excuses later, it didn't get done. Hopefully it will suffice to say thank you on here and that he loves them all.
