backpack

Ready to go to work, mama! Doesn't he look so cute with his backpack (bag, as he calls it)? This was on our way out the door this morning. He had Bumba, George, several trains and cars, snacks and water in this backpack. He was set!

Here is a picture from a couple of weeks ago when I first tried to put "footie" pajama's on Gabe for the first time. Needless to say, he didn't like them. He kept pulling on the feet and saying "off, please". It was so sad. What can I say? He's a sandal boy like his momma.

Here are a few pictures from our trip to fair this past weekend. We fed some animals, rode the ferris wheel and watched the parade.

Here's a sweet picture from our playdate yesterday with Gabe's friend Gracie. Gracie was hugging him goodbye. Grace's little sister Hope is below.
Here is Gabe getting his first hair trim . He wasn't too sure about it, but he did pretty good sitting still. This was just a trim, not a cut. So it wasn't official.

Mommy may have trimmed it a little short in the back. Oops! That's daddy's hand in the picture, but we were just re-creating the moment for a picture. =)

September Happenings

Above: Gabe wearing mommy's sunglass on the way back from a trip to Chick-fil-a last week. We got free sandwiches for wearing sports shorts.

Below: Playing in the rain with Ryan and Michael. Nathan and I spent the night at their house last weekend while their mom and dad celebrated their anniversary.

Below: This one is out of order, but another shot from the Chick-fil-a day.Below: Last night we got Culvers and spent the evening on the lake in Rockwall. Here is Gabe and daddy eating our "picnic" on the bench.

Our attempt at flying a kite. There wasn't much wind, but we got it up OK with some "man-power".
This time using a little "mommy-power". Unfortunately, we didn't get a shot of me running the kite into the back of a couple of ladies heads. Nor did we get a picture of their annoyed look. Oh well.

Big boy, but not too big...

Last week, he decided to sit in this shoebox sized rubbermaid container. It was a bit of a squeeze, but...
...he seemed to think it was hilarious to stuff as many blocks in the container as he could.

Taking Elmo for a walk

Apparently Gabe thought that Elmo needed some exercise tonight, so the three of us took a walk.

Taking a little break from holding Elmo and showing off the running skills. He's getting quite adept at jumping as well.
