critterman, free pretzels and a new tool set!

Today, they had a free animal show at the Galleria. This is Critterman. He brought a ferret, a sugar glider, a rabbit, a tortoise and a few others. Our friend Emma, and a 7 year old boy she was watching were there with us.

This is the mall playground that was right by where the show took place. Samuel and Gabe had fun (separately for the most part) playing. I did get this one picture where they were next to each other. =)

It was also (conveniently) free pretzel day at Auntie Annes! They took a picture of Gabe eating his pretzel. Hopefully it turned out better than this one. Maybe it'll show up on the website!
Today we also gave Gabe his inexpensive tool set that I bought a few weeks ago. Here he is showing off a couple of his new tools. He's just like Bob the Builder now! (minus the talking trucks).

February 2010

Gabe at Dallas Comic Con. We found a free CARS comic book shortly after walking in the door, so he was happy. He was not the only kid there, but there weren't too many.
Football "cake balls" that I made for the super bowl.
The biggest winter storm Texas has seen in decades! We had nearly a foot in one day.

Nathan's new car. These are a little out of order, I guess. We got the car before the snow.

Valentine banquet at church with a Polynesian theme (hence the lei). The men cook, serve, clean up, etc...
Back home after being in KY for a few days. Gabe will enjoy being back in his own bed tonight, I'm sure!

to end the year...

Catching up a little first...the top two are from our "Christmas" in Green Bay on the 26th. We were supposed to be up there on the 24th, but the Dallas airport doesn't agree with us, so it took a little longer. Ergh... So anyway, such is life, we got there eventually and all that. And we got back to Texas late last night more or less as scheduled.

Here is a cute picture of Gabe and Grandma. Gabe is wearing his new coat that we were very grateful to have in WI. Maybe we will be able to use it some next winter if we move further north? It is definitely not a Texas coat. =)

Our "last meal" in WI. before going to the airport.
Gabe with his new suitcase and loving it. What a big boy!
He took his "job" very seriously. =) Our flight left a little before 9:00 PM, and we were home and in bed before 1:00 AM. =) And then up for work the next day! (today). Looking forward to the long weekend!

Fun in the snow

Got out in the snow this morning. You may not be able to tell from Gabe's face (what you can see of it), but he liked it. He rode down the hill with each of us and a little bit by himself. It was too cold to stay out long.

Christmas carnage

Here are our pictures from our "first" Christmas last night. The Thomas lego set was a gift from Nana and Popaw. It was a big hit. Gabe also liked the Elmo tent that we gave to him. The big excitement today was his first bike ride! His Aunt Abby gave him his first bike and he loved it. It was extremely fortunate that we had unseasonably warm weather today so we could go out and ride.
