another trip to the zoo and slip n slide fun

Too many fun pictures! It was hard to narrow it down. We had such a fun morning at the zoo and then an afternoon on the slip n slide.
Up close and personal with the giraffe!
Cute boys!

On the train. The look hot and tired already!
Nice view of the pelicans. This was right after the pelican finally decided to move off the track so we could continue on.
Good thing this wasn't real! Hello in there!
Cooling off in the backyard on the slip n slide.

My attempt to get another picture of all 3 boys. No such luck. =)

zoo today

Busy day. Gabe got his ears checked at the Dr this morning and got a perfect report! His hearing is 100% and there's no fluid in them! Hooray! Then we went to the zoo for a couple hours. Gabe most wanted to see the zebra. We enjoyed their new "Giants of the Savannah" exhibit.

yet more pictures

Here are a few more pictures that I finally got off of our camera from our Houston trip. These are from the Aquarium (first day) when I didn't have the memory card in the camera, so these were in the internal memory.

Feeling the stingrays:
Gabe the explorer!
On the carousel!
Ferris wheel with view of downtown
The following pictures are from the pool today

Gabe enjoyed the water which is good because we start two weeks of swim lessons next week!

Really, REALLY BIG Sam Houston

On our way home we decided to stop at this 67 foot statue of Sam Houston that is in Huntsville Texas right off of Hwy 45. Hilarious. We decided not to stop at the infamous prison museum. =)

NASA

Fun day at the space center. We were only there for a couple hours. It would have been nice to be able to stay a little longer, but we weren't going to be able to go on the tram tour because of the rain so we decided to leave about 3:30 so we could beat the Houston traffic and get back at a decent hour. We got home about 8:30 and Gabe was in bed by 9:00 with a little bit of a tummy-ache (too much vacation?). Back to work tomorrow!

Nathan riding a bike upside down (within a circle).

Not Nathan, but a farther out picture so you can see the whole thing.
I'm assuming only a few people a day are able to do this. One of the guys running it said Nathan was the first person he'd ever seen go all the way around.

Here's Gabe with his "lightsaber" balloon.
