more camping...

Here are a couple more (hopefully after spending 45 minutes on the phone with ATT, our problem is taken care of). This is Gabe's friend Dom. Dom's daddy Jeremy pulled the boys around for a few minutes. Gabe liked it as long as it was moving, but not too sure of things when it was stopped.
This is Dom's brother and sister with Gabe. I think Gabe is flirting with Lexi. =)
I think yellow is our color, don't you agree?

Camping

Well, for some reason my computer (or internet) is not working properly tonight. I was going to add more, but it's not cooperating, so I'm going to send these two if it will let me. We spent this last Friday night at our church Family Camp in Beaver's Bend, OK. We had a good time camping, even if it was a little cold. We didn't get a lot of sleep, but that is just kind of the nature of camping anyway. We took Gabe hiking in a borrowed backpack and had lots of fun playing games and getting to know other people from our church.
Here is a picture of our "tribe". We didn't do too well in the planned games, but we had a lot of spirit!
Hopefully more pictures to follow...

6 months and funny faces

Well, it's not a great shot, but here is his 6 month picture with the elephant. He is definitely looking bigger, but he's not going to look much older until he grows some hair! Check out those big eyes!
He's had a little bit of a cold/allergies (?) for the last couple of days, so he's been sniffing a lot and making some pretty funny faces. The one below is kind of cute.
This one is NOT so cute, but kinda funny. Whoa! Is that my child?
Gabe is getting closer to crawling every day. Once he figures it out, he'll be off and running! Yesterday, he discovered he could get up on all fours (hands and feet), so he did that several times. His top two teeth have now pushed through and are visible, so he will soon really be able to chomp! He did well in the nursary this morning. It is the first time I have gotten to sit through a whole sermon in a while! He is getting much more definitive about what he wants, and will let me know when he is not a happy camper. We head to the Dr. this Wednesday for his 6 month check up.

Movin' on up

Here is our little man trying to get up and out of his pack and play. Still not crawling, but who knows...maybe he'll decide to pull up and go straight to walking. This was taken earlier this morning.
Oops! I fell over, but I'm still happy!
My quote for the picture below: "What!!! Brett Favre isn't a Packer anymore???"
"Mommy, where are you???
"Oh, there you are!"
Lest you think I'm always happy...(Yes, mom and dad made the grand mistake of waking me up from a nap before I was ready...when will they ever learn?)
Thanks for reading my blog! Y'all come back now, ya hear? ( I would love to say my 6 month old son was smart enough to wave, but I just caught his hand up at the right time.)

Update

It's been awhile since I've posted anything and I think Gabe looks different. Older? (Sniff...sniff). Six months on Wednesday. I can hardly believe it. I got out a new toy today and he seemed to enjoy that. He pulled the blocks out one by one and tasted each one of them. He's sitting up like a champ. He played with these blocks for at least 20 minutes without falling over once.

growing, Growing, GROWING!

Bathtime fun! Yesterday, I put Gabe on the 'infant/toddler' side of the bathtub, as opposed to the newborn side (sitting up as opposed to reclining). It was like I opened up a whole new world to him! He got so excited that he could sit up in the tub! He was splashing around and loving it! I put him back on the reclining side, and he just wasn't going to have it. He insisted on sitting up even on that side. He just loves to sit up and play now, but he still needs some support. It doesn't take him long to topple over if there isn't anyone nearby.

He is so adorable all wrapped up in his towel.
Our big boy greatly desires to crawl! He's scooting around the best he can. He's just getting up on his knees a little and starting to rock back and forth. Watch out world, it won't be too long! We've also recently discovered that he loves sweet potato's (oddly enough since Nathan and I don't.)
